2011 Week 2
Saturday, January 22nd, 2011It’s been two weeks since the beginning of the 2011 FRC Season. For the past week, FIRST Team 604 has been prototyping manipulator designs, working hard on refining and perfecting our design. Photos from this week have been posted below.

Saturday, January 15th, 2011Its officially been one week since the start of the 2011 FRC season. Over the past seven days, FIRST Team 604 has been hard at work designing and prototyping various robot designs. Some photos from this week have been posted below.

Practice at NASA Ames
Saturday, February 20th, 2010Today a small group of our team went to NASA Ames to test out our robot on their practice field. We learned a lot about our robot and will use what we learned to help make our robot even better!

Saturday, February 6th, 2010Our machine shop sponsor finished our wheels for this year! The are made of two pieces of aluminum and anodized black. Many thanks to our sponsors!

Parts For Our Chassis Have Arrived!
Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010Today our sponsor finished machining the tubing used to construct our chassis. They even have “Leland High Team 604 Quixilver” engraved on them!

2010 Design Review
Sunday, January 24th, 2010Today we had our design review for our current robot concept. We invited engineers from our community to give their input on our design. We learned a lot from the discussion and will incorporate many of what we talked about into our final design.

2010 Chassis Test #3
Friday, January 15th, 2010Our third and final prototype chassis was an eight-wheel-drive chassis. It turns as well as the six-wheel-drive prototype, and goes over much more smoothly. We have learned a lot from our prototype chassis and will be making a final decision on what we will use in competition soon!
